Check Out The Toyota Tundra’s New Year Features

The 2023 Toyota Tundra sees minimal changes, as the current generation debuted in 2021. The major addition is an all-new blacked-out SX Appearance Package. Only available on the Double Cab with a 6.5-foot bed, or CrewMax with a 5.5-foot bed, the SX appearance package darkens things up a bit. It includes dark gray 18-inch alloy wheels, body-colored door handles, and blacked-out badges. The interior sees the replacement of silver trim pieces with darker ones, too.

There are five trim levels on offer for the 2023 Tundra. These are the following:

  • SR

  • SR5

  • Limited

  • 1974 Edition

  • Platinum

The SR trim is the most utilitarian but still comes with an impressive feature set, particularly on the interior. Step up to the SR5, and you can avail yourself of the new 2023 SX Appearance Package if desired. Limited and Platinum trims see further cosmetic and technological upgrades on the interior and exterior. If you’re seeking a nostalgic feel for your 2023 Toyota Tundra, the 1974 Edition offers just that.

Occupants are treated to a premium cabin with soft-touch materials and ample storage spaces across all trims. Options include a panoramic moonroof, leather-trimmed seats, as well as seat heating and ventilation. The 1974 Edition offers a special treat, with American Walnut wood trim.

  • Magnetic Gray Metallic
  • Celestial Silver Metallic
  • Midnight Black Metallic

Power and Performance of the 2023 Toyota Tundra

The 2023 Toyota Tundra carries over the sole engine option from 2022, a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6. On the base SR trim, it is rated for 348 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. All other trims enjoy outputs of 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Drive is sent to the rear wheels through a ten-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel-drive is optional. Payload capacities range from 1,575 pounds to 1,940 pounds, while towing capability ranges from 8,300 pounds to 12,000 pounds, depending on trim level. The truck can achieve 20 mpg on the EPA combined cycle. Zero to sixty was timed by Motor Trend at a swift 6.1 seconds.
